Our family

The history of Giumarello's is typical of any large Italian family; Sunday dinners and warm holiday gatherings with the relatives, mom's or grandmom's home cooked specialties and the memories that will last a lifetime. Many of those memories were centered around the kitchen and what we have always done best; Family Style Northern Italian Cuisine. Over the years our recipes have been passed down through the generations, while thousands of new ones have been dreamt about and created in our restaurant's kitchen. We have always loved spending time and eating together, and we look forward to your next visit so you can experience the Giumarello family passion for fine food and warm gatherings!

Our restaurant

Every day, for over 33 years, the family has taken great pride in our restaurant. Chef Sam can be found in the kitchen creating new dishes & preparing favorites, while brother Gian tends to the ever expansive martini menu and wine list by researching, creating, and featuring some of the most sought after drinks.

Giumarello's Restaurant opened its doors in 1988. We had modest beginnings in the original location located on Station Avenue in Haddon Heights, New Jersey. The dining room only sat a limited number of guests and it was split between two floors. Several years later, our family was able to realize the dream of accommodating more diners and acquiring a liquor license to operate a bar at our current location, 329 Haddon Avenue in Haddon Township, New Jersey. The Haddon Township location provided us with everything we had imagined, plus we are able to offer our guests more than ample parking and complimentary valet service!

Like our first location, word got out and soon the bar area filled up like a New Years Eve celebration in Times Square. We needed to grow. In 2008, we were able to expand our bar area and give it a new identity; The GBar Lounge was born!

Today, Giumarello's and GBar regularly host private parties, as well as hundreds of diners. We are so happy with our move into this beautiful location in Haddon Township, New Jersey and look forward to the many years ahead of us. We've enjoyed the community we serve, the wonderful relationships we've built, and the memories we've made.
